Ultimate Volume Mascara in 'Black' by Mineral Hygienics - Review & Before n After

Mascara can make a huge difference in the way your eyes look. A quick swipe of a mascara on your eye lashes alone will make you look awake and confident for sure. I was really happy using a mascara I already had and it was the best of all those I have ever tried but after using this Ultimate Volume Mascara by Mineral Hygienics, I now know that there are mascaras even better than the ones I own. Let's see what pros and cons did I find about this mascara.

Product Description & Packaging:
This mascara tube is so gorgeous and sexy. This one is in black shade and Mineral Hygienics have one in brown shade as well. It has a regular sized wand. The mascara was sealed properly when came to me.

Pros & Cons:

Pros:

• Nicely pigmented.
• Dry formula.
• Dries quickly.
• Does not clump much  even after three coats.
• Smudge proof.
• Water/sweat resistant.
• Adds noticeable volume and really nice length to the lashes.
• Stays on without toning down for 6-8 hours.
• Easily removable with water, cleanser, face wash or makeup remover.
• Wand works nicely on upper and lower lashes.
• Non irritant.

Cons:

• Not water proof.

I applied two coats of this mascara without curling my lashes prior to the application. For some reason, the result is not the same as it looks in real. It is more intense in person.

Overall Experience:
Since this mascara has a dry formula, it dries really quickly and saves lots of time and mess. I like mascaras that dry in a decent time while giving volume and/or length to the lashes. This Ultimate Volume Mascara does not give 'ultimate' volume but the lashes become really enhanced after two to three coats. The good thing about it is that it also gives length to the lashes and curls them a bit as well.

Though it is not water proof which is always a turn off for me since I like to use waterproof products on my eyes but it is really water and sweat resistant. Few days back I went to a party and it started raining, I tried to cover up my face but a few drop hit my lashes somehow. I was really worried that I will be looking like a raccoon and mascara disasters are the worst for sure but when I looked into the mirror, my mascara was still in place. *phew what a relief*

I also like the fact that it stays the same for 6-8 hours in humid weather and just one coat refreshes it completely. Overall, I am really happy with this product but I think the word 'ultimate' did not justify this mascara for the price.

Recommendation:
If you are looking for a quick drying mascara that gives noticeable volume while giving remarkable length to the lashes and is water/sweat resistant, you should give it a try. However, the price can be a little trouble for some people so use the discount coupon code to shed off some bucks.
