Luscious Cosmetics Flawless Finish Power + Foundation - Review & Swatches

Being the owner of oily skin, I usually go for powder products when the weather is pretty hot. They give desirable coverage and soak up some excess oil as well. Let's see how this two in one product by Luscious Cosmetics worked for me.

Swatches:
Both shades looked lighter when I swatched them and both of them were lighter for my skin tone. The closest of two for me is Natural Beige.

Overall Experience:
When this product first came out, I was kind of excited about trying it because I have combination to oily skin and my t-zone gets really greasy in about one hour if I don't set my foundation or BB cream with a powder. Also, when I am in rush, I like to use two-in-one products as a base to save time and then pop them in my hand bag for quick touch ups since they are mess free if you compare them with loose powders.

I have been using Ronasutra's Two-in-One Powder & Foundation quite often but carrying it while travelling makes it harder though it is an amazing product if you can get your hands on it in other countries as well.

Luscious Cosmetics' Flawless Finish Powder + Foundation claims so much which makes you go get it right away. I happened to try it for a long time before I give you my experience an I hope it will help you guys. Since I tried Color Studio Pro's Invincible Powder, I could not like anymore compact powers. It was a darker shade for me but worked like a charm for me except for enhancing dry patches. With Luscious' one, I was expecting less or no dry patches on the skin and it did that.

The packaging is pretty good and sleek to carry around or to store. It has a mirror and a sponge that is not too much of a good quality. It kind of leave streaks when used wet but works fine when used dry.

Compact itself has a very smooth formula and it glides on to the skin really smoothly when used dry. I prefer to use it dry mostly but when I want to use it wet, I go for a regular sponge and often I use my fingers. When used wet, the formula did not work too well. It looks fine at first but then it starts to leave a white cast and it enhances dry patches while it does not enhance dry patches if I use it dry.

It give sheer to medium coverage. For everyday natural coverage, I prefer to put on a primer or moisturiser and buff the product dry, with a fluffy brush. If you have a dry skin naturally or have intense dry patches, this product will enhance it just like any other powder product does so better moisturise beforehand.

As for the staying time, my t-zone stays shine free for good three hours and rest of my face stays matte for around six hours. Anything that keeps my t-zone shine free for more than two hours is good for me because it gets greasy in merely one hour and trust me, no stay matte & shine free claimers have done anything to me t-zone.

One thing that I did not like about this product is shades. They look darker in the pan but when you wear them, they are lighter. Also, their shade range is really small. With this good of a product, they should really expand their shade range.

Overall, I am really loving this product and even if it is lighter for me, I use it lightly to set my foundation or alone to get rid of the shine. I wish the shade was a match for me so I could wear it for medium coverage as well. I loved the fact that it does not look cakey, no matte how many layers you build.

  4. Sehrish, i have a combination skin but with a highly active T-zone, its does gets shiny in one hour
though i love color studio pro luminous foundation since its not sticky and water -proof so it doesn't transfers, but regarding the fact to stay matte, Luscious takes away the credit since they know the humid weather here more than anyone else, Luscious flawless finish liquid foundation oil free (Rs-845) keeps me matte for several hours and i mean it, and non-sticky and UVB/UVA protected if i set it with Luscious velvet matte pressed powder (Rs-875)
At some point, you can give these products a try and i am sure u will like them. Not the foundation, but i use velvet matte daily cz i work in a non-airconditioned office (govt. job) so u can imagine what i suffer in respect of oily t-zone..

    1. I totally understand that t-zone issue. I will give those products a try in future inshAllah. CSP's Pro Luminous Foundation works really well for me and I feel like it has a powder base in it because at time when weather if not too hot, I don't feel the need to powder it.
