Luscious Designer Nail Colors (applicator)

Product Description & Packaging:
This nail color comes in a transparent glass bottle with a plastic cap and brush applicator. Each bottle contains 14ml of product and comes in 14 gorgeous shades.

My Experience:
Instead of writing about all these polishes together, I am going to shade my experience separately for each shade I tried. However the brush applicator is the same in all these polishes. It is smaller than what I normally prefer. I won't say that it did not work nicely because I believe that a nice application of a nail polish depends on both the applicator and the formula. This brush worked good with some but not with others. Drying time is quite reasonable especially for first two coats but third coat takes a bit more time to dry which is normal. Wear time of all of these polishes were almost the same. Each of these lasted on my nail for good five days before they started to chip, without any top and bottom coat. I am sure this will last on some people for even longer days as I was in the process of packing and moving to a new place while trying these out. All the swatches you will see are without top and bottom coats.

Sana Safinaz is a gorgeous red shade. This is described as show stopper red and so far my favorite red shade that I would really like to wear occasionally. I applied three coats of this polish but as you might be able to see in the swatches, it is still not completely opaque. I applied thin coats because the brush applicator does not handle the thick coats of theis creamy formula. I also noticed small bubbles which appeared while the polish was drying, visible in swatches as well. In first coat, this shade would look pink but after second coats, you will see its true shade. The application was smooth and formula was somewhat creamy.

Sublime by Sara is such a stunning pale green shade and I absolutely loved this color. It is described as creamy peppermint on the website. It goes full opaque in three thin coats. The formula is milky but application is really smooth with this applicator. However, two thick coats can mess up the application leaving blobs of polish on the sides of the nails. I noticed a few hardly visible bubbles after the polish dried completely.

FahadHussayn is the darkest shade I tried from this range. It has a black base but due to blue particles, it looks navy blue. I loved how this shade has a depth quite similar to Cosmos by piCture pOlish. This polish is really good for people who want to wear dark polishes but are afraid to carry those shades. It goes completely opaque in two coats but to get the good effect of its depth, I would suggest going to three coats. The formula is creamy and application is quite smooth. I am really loving this shade for its uniqueness.

Zara Shahjahan is another gorgeous shade that I personally would love to wear in routine. It goes fully opaque in three thin coats. The formula is creamy but the application is smooth with this applicator. However, two thick coats can mess up the application and you can end up with blobs of polish at the sides of the nails. I noticed really light bubble sometimes.

Muse is yet another favorite blue shade of mine. My son (4 year old) also loves when I wear this one. It is described as cool rivera blue on the website. It goes full opaque in two coats. The formula is milky and has a very smooth and fine application. I am so loving this shade and it reminds me of Haute Denim by Color Studio Pro. I could however see a few tiny bubbles occasionally.

Nomi Ansari is described as sizzling coral shade and I totally agree with it. This is a beautiful shade but it does not suit my skin tone. I have applied three thin coats but it still is not completely opaque. I noticed tiny bubbles at time. The formula is creamy but the application with this brush applicator is quite fine. This one stains the nails a bit too.

Cost & Availability:
Each bottle of Designer Nail Color is retailed at PKR 295 and is available both online on Luscious' website and all across Pakistan.

This is such a great addition in Luscious Cosmetics' range and all the shade selections were great. I must say that this range has something for each one of you according to your skin tone and need. Do get one from your nearest counter as these might go out of stock pretty soon. Oh and one more shot of the beauties for your eyes. =D

  1. I have Nomi Ansari on my finger tips right now! It's such a lovely shade but for some odd reasons, it is now appearing as a bright pink shade rather than the coral one as it first appeared. Maybe some magic has happened behind my back or something like that. :\
