Matte Liquid Lipsticks - Sandy The Sweetest Collection by Chique Cosmetics - Review & Lip Swatches

Matte Liquid Lipsticks - Sandy The Sweetest Collection by Chique Cosmetics - Review & Lip Swatches
I love liquid lipsticks especially when they are matte but the formula is not always comfortable for all the lipsticks that I try. Today I have Chique Cosmetics' Sandy The Sweetest Matte Lipstick Collection to review along with some lip and arm swatches. Find out if these are worth buying!
Sandy The Sweetest Collection by Chique Cosmetics:
They claim: Chique Cosmetics' Sandy the sweetest is a line of matte liquid lipsticks that are easy to apply and hydrate the pout. This thin, lightweight formula smoothly glides on the lips leaving super intense pigment with a bold, matte look. It is very long-wearing and 100% kiss-proof AKA no transferring . This formula contains Vitamin E, Shea Butter, Almond oil , and fruits oil for comfort and moisture. None of our lippie formula contains any nasty ingredients like Parabens and Sulfates.

Vegan & Cruelty-Free Status:
They say: This product is 100% vegan, never test on animals & approved by Ministry of Health Malaysia

About the product: (packaging/weight etc)
Packaging for these lipsticks is beautiful without any doubt. They come in a beautiful card box packaging with graphics complimenting the theme of the collection. The actual tube is made up of plastic and transparent bottom while the twist top is made up of white plastic and contain a doe foot applicator. The tube is super sleek and sturdy. Each tube contains 5 ml of product and these come in six beautiful shades.

All the shades are towards nude-y neutral side but all have different tones.

Pigmentation:
All the shades are nicely pigmented but they give a little over medium coverage. You can totally get full coverage by using the second layer but I don't like to overdo my matte liquid lipsticks as they tend to crack or come off easily.

Scent:
Since these lipsticks have fruit oils, they do have a mild fruity scent which to me, smelled like apples and if I become very specific, I would say green apples. 😍 My 9-year-old, however, says that they smell like strawberry ice cream. The scent does away pretty much once the product is dried.

Texture:
The formula has a very smooth texture and creamy texture that glides very smoothly on lips.

Application:
I am in love with the applicator that Sandy collection comes with. It has a perfect size and stiffness that makes the application process really easy and precise.

I found all the shades pretty smooth to go on to the lips except for Mathiola. This shade leaves streaks on my lips. The formula dries pretty fast as well and it does not feather at all.

Finish:
Sandy collection dries to a matte finish and does not enhance dry lips too much for a flawless and perfect finish, I always suggest scrubbing and moisturizing your lips prior to the application. Once dries, they don't transfer or budge at all.

Comfort:
I cannot express my love for the lipsticks in words. These are very lightweight that I forget that I am wearing matte lipstick. There isn't any tight feeling and they also don't suck the life out of my lips.

Longevity:
Unless I eat oily foods, the lipsticks do go anywhere throughout the day. If I do eat oily food, the lipsticks come off from the inner part of the lips and if I decide to re-apply, I always take the previous product off especially with matte lipsticks. Reason? Matte lipsticks make a mess upon re-application and I think it is mainly because of the oils I have left after eating food so if I am going to clean my lips with a wipe, why not take the whole product off and start over?

Removal:
Any makeup remover works for these babies but an oil-based makeup remover like Garnier's Oil Infused Micellar Cleaning Water, works like magic. These lipsticks also do not stain the lips.

Price Point:
For MYR 39 (US$ 9.80 approx) I say the formula, packaging, and quantity are amazing and the lipsticks are absolutely worth the money. is worth the money.

Final Thought:
As you have already assumed, I am in love with everything about Sandy The Sweetest collection. But I must say that not all shades work the same way for every person. My personal favorite of all of these is Sandy Zinnia.

I am quite satisfied with the claims that Chique Cosmetics made for this collection. The coverage is described as 'intense' by them which is true but is still not fully opaque in my experience. I highly recommend this product.

Cost & Availability:
Each Sandy Matte Liquid Lipstick costs MYR 39 (approx. US$9.80) but are corrently on sale for MYR 36 (approx. US$9.00). Chique Cosmetics is also offering free shipping and they currently ship to Malaysia only.

  4. That's a great price. I've been liking the newer matte liquid lipsticks since they seem to be less drying and I can pull them off better. These all look very pretty.

  5. These all look great on you. My older lips and matte don't always agree with each other but when a color is so pretty I'll wear it anyway.

  7. Marigold is my kind of neutral! It's nude-ish but has a little red in it so it's not too boring.

  8. I love the neutral colors, the playful packaging, and they do look very thin on the lips!
