I usually go for translucent powders because I feel like that pressed / loose powders with pigment kind of cake up the finish and I always say that it is better to go dewy than get a caked up face. But this time I thought to give these Forever Flawless Pressed Powder by Jordana Cosmetics a try. Let's see if they were worth spending the money.

Product Description & Packaging:
Forever Flawless Face Powder by Jordana Cosmetics is available in nine shades but I bought only three shades; Creamy Beige, Classic Natural & Honey Amber. The product comes in a plastic compact containing a mirror and a compartment underneath with a puff applicator. The top lid shuts with a click and has a transparent plastic which makes it easy to see the shade without opening the compact as it is obviously easy to see the shade than read it when you are in a hurry. The product is pressed, has a very smooth & silky texture with a mild scent. Each pan contains an amazing 9.5 grams of product. I have yet to see myself hit the pan.

Overall Experience:
I got these pressed powders in three shades and luckily the shades were exactly what I wanted. I got Creamy Beige for highlighting, Classic Natural for finishing & Honey Amber for contouring. Since this pressed powder is pure matte, all three shades worked exactly how I wanted. At this point, some of you might be confused why I bought a pressed powder for highlighting & contouring. Well my formula and utmost important rule for makeup is; why just use the things for the purpose they are meant for? Why not experiment with makeup and get creative so when in need, you know you can use one makeup item for more than what it is meant for.

It is not too easy to get highlighting and contouring shades with right undertones and with pure matte finish but I am glad I didn't go wrong while making this decision.

Creamy Beige has a pretty gorgeous light yellow undertone which helps to highlight the desired area perfectly.
Classic Natural is a perfect shade for my skin shade and has a peachy undertone.
Honey Amber is a gorgeous dark brown shade with an orange undertone which emphases the contours of the face / neck without giving that mud effect.

This pressed powder goes onto the skin really smoothly and does not cake up, no matter how much you build. Staying power is pretty good and I don't need touch ups for good 5-6 hours except for my nose which gets shiny in about two hours [pretty normal for me]. I love how this powder keeps the under eye concealers set and undereye area matte without setting into creases / lines. It is also water / sweat resistant but swiping the tissue after sweating would obviously take the pigment away but if you just pat dry the skin, you won't see much difference in the finish or coverage.

If used alone over a moisturized, the powder give a sheer finish smoothing out the tone and killing the redness on the face. I just love how it covers up the dark area under the eyes without needing a concealer in everyday routine.

All three shades work the same way in terms of application, it is just how and where you use them. In my case; highlighting, contouring & finishing with same kind of products help me to get an even out finish since all three products have same formulation.

The product gives a sheer finish when used with a powder brush but the finish can get a bit opaque if you use over a primer with a sponge and even more, if you use a damp sponge. You can achieve a full finish if you use this powder over a BB Cream or a sheer finish foundation which will let your skin breath especially if you are using a BB Cream.

The packaging is also pretty practical and I always keep the Classic Natural shade in my bag for any touch ups and to use a mirror when I need to. However, I am not a big fan of the applicator that comes with such compacts so I don't use them as much but they work great too.

Overall, I am absolutely in love with these pressed powders and they work equally good for dry, normal and oily / combinations skin types without going heavy on the pockets. For undereyes, I could not find a better product than this powder.

Forever Flawless Face Powder by Jordana Cosmetics costs $1.99 on their website. The brand is hard to get in Malaysia and Pakistan. I am not too sure where you can find it in Pakistan but there must be many Facebook stores taking pre orders for Jordana.
