Summers make us all worried more about getting shiny and/or sliding foundation and ending up into a mess when all we want is a pretty looking skin. Matte Perfect Loose Translucent Powder:
They say; Make-up Academy’s Matte Perfect Loose Translucent Powder is an extremely lightweight sheer and silky setting powder. This finely milled loose powder fixes your foundation in place, perfect for minimising oiliness and unwanted shine. The micro fine featherweight texture means that it never looks powdery or feels heavy over foundation. It disappears on the skin brightening up your make up whilst keeping it in place throughout the day.

Product Description & Packaging:
This powder comes in a sifter plastic jar containing 15 grams of product. Holes of sifter are big enough to bring a good amount of product but not too big to create a huge mess.

Swatch:
This swatch has been taken without any primer/base underneath. On left, you can see the color an texture of the product and on right, you can see how it looks when blended.

Overall Experience:
I really like using finishing powder even when I am not wearing any foundation or primer mostly because my combination to oily skin gets really shiny on my t-zone. After lip balm, a finishing powder/face powder is second important item that I put in my bag.

Let's see if all the MUA claims for this product worked for me. It surely goes finely on skin and blends really easily. The powder is really fine too and feels so light on skin giving a silk feel. Bad thing is, it is not translucent, it will show like a white cast on wheat-ish to dark skin tones. For lighter to medium skin tones, this powder is fine but make sure you don't overdo it. It is true that if you apply it in tiniest amount but I expect from a translucent powder to be completely translucent just like the Finishing Powder in Matte by Mineral Hygienics that I have been using for a long time.

As for the staying power is concerned, it keeps my face matte for over four to five hours except for my t-zone. My forehead gets shiny in about three to four hours and my nose gets shiny in about two to three hours. I would not blame this product for this because no product could keep my nose matte for more than three hours so far. meh! Overall, I would say that it keeps the foundation in place for good four to five hours with mild sweating. Again, if you are wearing a dark shade foundation, this product might lighten the shade upon setting the foundation but it might work well if you use it on bare face.

I loved how it does not crease, crack or sets into fine lines under eyes. Lastly, for the price, the amount is way too much and the quality is good too. It might not be exactly like Mineral Hygienics' powder but it surely is an inexpensive alternate for finishing powders majority would think twice before buying.

I use this powder regularly but I hope that MUA would either make it real translucent or bring more shades. You can see my wearing it in my birthday makeup look.
