Makeup Geek Pressed Eyeshadows - Review & Swatches (Part II)

If you have read my previous outfit post, you would have seen how these shadows look on eyes. I have reviewed some Makeup Geek eye shadows previously but these are the ones they launched recently.

Makeup Geek Eye Shadows:
They say: 'These are all highly-pigmented. Half the price of MAC shadows without sacrificing quality. These pans can be placed in empty palettes such as MAC Pro Palettes or Z-Palettes. Eyeshadow pan weight is 1.8G / 0.064 oz. With a separate palette, you can build your own custom palettes. All our shadows are cruelty-free -- we do not test our products on animals. These eyeshadows are Talc and Paraben-Free. We ship worldwide at affordable rates'

Product Description & Packaging:
Makeup Geek's eyeshadows come in compacts and pans. Each pan is securely packed in a beautiful card box packaging. Pans are made up of metal and each pan holds 1.8 grams of product. They have launched six new shades I believe but here you will see five swatches.

Swatches:
These swatches have been taken on MUA's Professional Eye Primer. Their pigmentation is almost same without a primer but I believe that a primer or an eyeshadow base enhances the true color and pigmentation and gives the minimum to no fall outs.

Shade Description:
  • Hipster is a matte light brown shade.
  • Frappe is a matte bronze shade.
  • Cosmopolitan is a shimmery bronze shade.
  • Graphite is a shimmery silver/grey shade.
  • Simply Marlena is a matte rich pink shade.
Overall Experience:
Just like eyeshadows I tried previously from Makeup Geek, these are all well pigmented. They give a great color pay off especially when applied over an eye primer or an eyeshadow base, they stay for longer hours and they don't crease for good two to three hours on my oily lids even if I use them without an eye primer. I also haven't noticed any fall outs for these five.

I have recently used two of these in a makeup look that I did for my outfit post. I absolutely love these eyeshadows and I am so looking forward to expanding my collection because I know that they are great dupes for MAC's eyeshadows too.

Cost & Availability:
Each Makeup Geek Eyeshadows pan costs US$6. All the eyeshadows can be purchased online over hereThey ship worldwide. You can also buy Makeup Geek products on BeautyBay (free worldwide shipping).
