Accessories & Tools - Favorites of 2012 # 1

I looked at one of my makeup product a few days, it looked awful as paint over the packaging was chipped and it was just not looking any gorgeous. Then I found my mind & heart telling me that this is the most loved product of this year and even the in 2011, it has been close to you the most out of all other beauties you have in your makeup stash. I so wanted to share this with all of you and then I thought about the idea of a blog post. Once I gathered all the goodies I used and loved most this year, I thought to just separate them in categories and do a whole series. That one product will remain the mystery and let's see how many of you can guess it.

This is the first post of the series of my Favorites of 2012. This post contains accessories & tools, I loved and used the most.

Accessories & Tools - Favorites of 2012 # 1

Very first thing is my Keune's Ceramic Straightening Iron. The only thing I would say about this is, I might never find a better iron ever. I have been using this for about more than two years now.

I love to put my makeup in bags when I am traveling. So far that makeup bag by Luscious Cosmetics have been doing great for me. This bag can carry so much makeup items and the foaming keeps my products safe. LOVE IT.

Since I cannot keep Luscious Cosmetics' makeup bag in my hand bag, I like to use this bag for a couple of brushes, mascara, eye pencil and a few really important makeup items so I can keep them in my hand bag during traveling. This bad comes in travel kit by Sigma.

This box you are are looking at is a really cheap pencil box I found at a store here. It has magnetic closing feature. I have been using it to keep all my eye and lip brushes. I don't keep my brushes in brush holders because of dust and this box had the perfect size and depth. I am thinking to get one more to make a customized eye shadow kit.

I always wanted to be echo friendly by using minimum plastic bags but I used to hate keeping those big reusable bags in my hand bag. Also, I never likes the look of them. =/ Since I got this bag by Flip & Tumble, I try to use this bag and fill it with all the items I can so I don't use plastic bags much. And oh this looks so cute plus the strap it has for shoulder grip does not make my shoulder painful at all. You can read my review here that includes a demo as well.

I am not a big fan of hair bands as it gives me headache and neck pain if I keep my hair in a pony tail for long. I got these hair clippers about more than two years ago for around 20 PKR each. I actually bought these for my hair dipoma but I still have these in perfect condition and didn't even loose any even though I use them every single day. Miracle? =D

Those Picasso Hair Feather (review here) are a must have. I do not get enough time to add fun color to my hair and maintenance is way too much for all fashion colors. These hair feather are great even if you use just one or use multiple at a time.

The black and red thing is a headband by Comfys (review & more products here). I love to use it when I go out and I also love to use it at home to keep my hair away from my face while looking good. Great quality & easiest accessory to wash.

At far left the white packet a of cotton pads. I am such a huge fan of these. I have been using these for cleaning makeup, cleanser from face. To sanitize all my makeup cases, brush handles in combination with a sanitizer. Also, I am using these to apply ointments, sounds odd? I just put the ointment on a corner and apply on the affected area. It is more hygienic and not at all messy. The biggest problem I get when I apply ointments with my finger is they would stuck in my nails.

The second thing is a nail polisher remover dispenser. It is air tight and really user friendly. I just take a cotton pad, place it on top and press a few times. It really saved my nails that used to break by opening stoppers.

Next is nail polish remover swipes. My husband got these one day when I sent him to get a bottle of nail polish remover. These were just so expensive, I could get 2 bottles of nail polish remover in this price BUT, once I used it I was like wow. The wipe is pretty big and I used it twice for both hands by cutting it in half and keeping it in air tight bag. It is super quick and smells amazing.

Since I came to Malaysia, hair removal through waxing was out of question. I could not get wax from the market and I couldn't make it. Then I got epilator by Philips and it is just amazing. Huge money saver, time saver and have so many other abilities. I am in love. These tools are perfect for the body and face. <3

The comb you can see in the picture is always in my hand bag. I do not brush my hair ever and I do not use fine combs as well until or unless I have to, for some specific hair do. This one is also amazing for opening back combing.

This nail filer (review here) is in my use for almost two years I think. It is safe to carry in my purse and does great job. Above all that, it still works as it is brand new. LOVE IT

I don't even remember when I got this tweezer but I have been using it for a long time. It is so smooth and the head has no cracks or anything. It does not cut the hair at all. I remember that I got it from a small store and the lady had these in lots of colors. Do get one if you see it anywhere.

So that is it for the first post. I absolutely adore these products and I highly recommend these to all who want to get these. A good product saves you alot of money, time & stress. If you want any reviews on any of these products, do let me know in the comments. Stay tuned for more posts in this series.
