Mineral Foundations in 'Porcelain, Honey Beige & Natural Light' by Earthnicity Minerals - Review & Swatches!

Mineral makeup is getting popular day by day for its properties and when it comes to use mineral makeup, I always start it with a mineral foundation. For me having a safe and good base means, I can apply anything on top of it as the base is going to protect my skin pretty much. This review is about mineral foundation I have tried recently.

Mineral Foundation by Earthnicity Minerals:
They say: 'Our mineral foundations provide a matte, yet natural-looking finish which lasts throughout the day. They provide natural sun protection, and are water-resistant. Our foundations are free of bismuth oxychloride and talc.'

Packaging:
They sent me sample sized foundation jars that come in Sample Kits. Full sized jar carries (9g) of product. Product comes in a transparent plastic jar with a black plastic lid. Every jar contains a mini velour puff.
Everything came nicely packed in bubble wrapping. Nothing was broken or spilled at all.

Cons:

Swatches:
None of these three shades were an exact match for my skin tone but I layered them all three of these on my face and they somehow didn't look odd. =P

They have not been blended so you could have a better look at the shades and their tones. Porcelain has a whitish tone (suitable for really fair skin tone), Honey Beige was really close to my skin shade but it was still a bit lighter. It has a towards-really-light-brown tone and lastly, Natural light has a pink tone. All of these shades are suitable for fair skin tones.

Overall Experience & Recommendation:
As I mentioned above that none of these shades were right for me, I still used them for review purpose. I layered all three of these on my face and result was much much better and the shade became quite close to my skin tone. First layer was for Porcelain then Honey Beige & lastly Natural Light. These foundations are really easy to blend and are nicely pigmented. For my oily skin, they did not crease, crack or wash out throughout the day. It covers up redness on the skin but does not cover up pigmentation or dark spots and gives about medium coverage. Earthnicity Minerals claims that their makeup is safe enough to sleep in but I did not dare to do that. I did not get any break outs or irritation from this product. Another thing I really liked about this foundation is that it is water resistant and hence it stays put if I sweat. It also keeps the skin totally shine free even after 6 hours. As far coverage is concerned, this foundation gives a nice sheer to medium coverage and if you need full coverage, layer it over a liquid foundation or mix it with water and apply it over moisturized skin.
Overall, I am happy with this foundation and I think people with sensitive skin or acne should give it a try.
