I received some Makeup Revolution goodies around more than two months ago but since I wasn't able to blog, these reviews went due for a long time. But staying away from blogging did not stop me from trying the products and hence, I am here with my first review on a Makeup Revolution product.
Makeup Revolution says:
POWER for your lips! Wear separately or wear together! Get the power! Give your lips real power, a duo lipstick and lipgloss in one! A satin matte lipstick in a moisturing formula and a super slick lipgloss with a hint of shimmer, Wear the lipstick or wear the lipgloss or wear the lipgloss over the lipstick! Revolution tip: Use the gloss as a highlighter and just apply to the middle and on the top of the cupid’s bow for a fuller look!
Product Description & Packaging:
This duo comes in a plastic but very sturdy packaging. One end has a lipstick & the other has a lip gloss as you can see in the photos. This packaging does not say how much product it contains so I will not be able to guide you on that. The shade I tries is called It's My Life. Lipstick is a gorgeous peachy-pink shade and I must tell you that it look absolutely gorgeous on lips but looks different when you look at the tube. The gloss is quite sheer and contains gold glitter which looks quite natural on lips.

Overall Experience:
The lipstick alone looks pretty good on lips but can enhance dry patches so prepping your lips is always a great idea. The formula for lipstick is creamy which helps it glides onto the skin quite smoothly and the best thing is that it does not end up in that disgusting residue that you get on sides of the lips. I know many of you know what I am talking about. The lipstick also has a very mild and nice scent but I am unable to recognize it. Oh and its definitely not vanilla.
The lip gloss is quite sheer but gold specks give it a very nice effect. This is not a glitter that you would not wear in everyday routine, its quite natural looking as you can see in my Instagram swatch. It has a nice consistency and if you wear it alone, it feels a bit sticky but on top of the lipstick, it feels fine.
The longevity of lipstick is 2-3 hours if I become decent enough not to eat my lipstick, you know some of us do that. The duo stays for about the same time. But in my opinion, wearing time of lipstick and glosses vary from person to person and also if you are drinking/eating anything or not.
Overall, I am in love with this duo and specially the lipstick shade. This Lip Power is a nice and travel/budget friendly product to have in ones collection.
