Catalina Geo Long & Deep Mascara - Review + Before & After

I always say that a mascara can immediately change your appearance from sleepy to awake even if you have no eye shadows on. Today I have one of my favorite mascaras of 2012 for you with some before and after application shots. Find out why it made in my favorite list.

Catalina Geo Long & Deep Mascara:
A liquid mascara containing pure ingredients specially chosen to give natural looking eye lashes. Non-allergenic and is not affected by tears or perspiration.

To Use:
Rotating the brush, comb the eye lashes down from the top, then curl them up from underneath.

This mascara is in shade Black and comes with a refill. Each bottle contains 7g of product. The bottle is sleek and is made up of plastic.

In these swatches, I have not curled my lashes prior to the application and no product other than this mascara has been used.





Overall Experience:
I never skip mascara no matter what kind of makeup look I am doing. But if I am going out for longer hours, I always want a waterproof or atleast a water resistant mascara so it can handle the perspiration in hot & humid weather of Malaysia. I really liked how this mascara comes with a refill which is really nice.

Full sized refill is good even if you want to use it later but it is great for professional use. It does not come with an extra want and has a screw lid. A professional makeup artists can use disposable mascara wands to dip in the refill and can make it hygienic for her/his customers.

Application is pretty good with the slim brush, it gives me a precise application for both my upper and lower lashes. As you can see in the pictures, it gives really good result in terms of; volume, length & curling. No, I did not curl my lashes prior to application to show the proper results. The formula has a thick consistency and it dries really fast so you got to be really quick if you want to apply more than one coat. It does not clump the lashes much even with three coats.

Staying power is also pretty great as it does not tone down in 6-8 hours and even after that, the difference is not much. The lashes uncurl just a tiny bit after 6-8 hours.

The mascara is works great if you are sweating too much but it is not waterproof. A splash of water/rain and it can mess up your makeup. Also, if you cry for any reason and your lashes gets really wet, DO NOT rub the eyes, instead take a tissue and press your lashes between the tissue to absorb the tears/water, else you will end up with raccoon eyes. But yeah, I noticed that even with heavy splashes of water, this mascara does not run down my face which is good.

In my views, this mascara has a good value for money since you are getting two full sized mascaras and the quality is pretty good as well.

Overall, I really love this mascara for my routine use and for special occasions as well.

Cons:

• It does what it says but I wish it was waterproof.
