Makeup base/primer is a really important step for me whenever I am getting ready for a special occasion and I want my makeup to last longer and my skin to look even. Today I will be talking about Color Capsule Makeup Base by Catalina Geo. Let's see if it is upto my mark.
Color Capsule Makeup Base by Catalina Geo:
They say: Catalina Geo offers a World First with it's color capsule make-up base and essence.
The make-up base offers these benefit ; UV filters to protect from our harsh environment. / Moisturizes the skin / Oil free / Non allergenic. Applies smoothly and evenly offering a perfect base for your make-up to last all day. Comes in three shades(2,3 and 4) each offering different benefits.
- No.2 Green. This neutralizes red, which makes it perfect for camouflaging red cheeks, broken veins and blemishes.
- No 3. Blue. This is great for people with dark skin or freckles or pigmentation in the skin.
- No 4 Violet. This is used to offset shallowness and to give the face a health glow because of its anti-dulling effect. It's a great pick-me-up for the face and will help tone down yellowness of the skin. It’s ideal for people with olive or yellow complexions.

Product Description & Packaging:
This product comes in a transparent plastic bottle with pump function. The bottle contains 35ml of product which consists of a clear serum and colored capsules. The pump does not have a pipe and it crushes the capsules to mix with the serum. I really like the sturdy packaging and it looks really elegant. This product comes in three shades.

Pros:
- Nicely pigmented.
- Easy to blend.
- Works as a corrector and a primer at the same time.
- Brightens up the skin instantly.
- Makes skin smooth yet making a better canvas for foundation.
- Keeps the makeup in place for good 4-6 hours if weather is not hot and humid.
- Moisturizing.
- Suitable for all skin types but oily skin needs to be blotted with a tissue as it gets shiny in 3-4 hours.
- Pump system is very hygienic.
- Non irritant.

Overall Experience:
Starting with the packaging, I am just in love with this elegant bottle. If you read my blog regularly, you might know that I am a big hygiene conscious person so the pump system is always my favorite.
My first impression of the product was that it might be really hard to blend as after the pump crushes the small balls, there are still visible particles. But it wasn't so. It is actually pretty easy to blend.
This specific shade is meant for the skin with yellow undertone. I don't think so I have yellow undertone but the product still brightens up my face. It leaves a white cast on application but that goes away 80% in about 3-5 minutes. After blending it onto the face, the skin becomes really smooth as well which makes the foundation application easier and smoother.
As for the staying power, the product keeps the makeup in place for about 4-6 hours but my t-zone gets shiny in about 3-4 hours and I have to blot the face with tissue paper. The product is also very moisturizing so I believe it will be good even for dry and normal skin types. But the makeup slides from the skin if I sweat and I am not talking about heavy sweating.
Overall, this is a good product which works as a color corrector and a primer but it would be suitable for people with yellow undertones or who want some extra brightness on the face. Also, I mostly use a makeup base/primer when I need my makeup to stay for long hours during this hot and humid weather so for me it should have worked for longer hours which it could not. But I cannot neglect how it makes the skin really smooth for makeup application.
