Atrdeco Tribal Baked Eye Shadows - Review & Swatches

Today I have two shades of Artdeco's Baked Eye Shadows from their Tribal Collection they launched sometime back. Let's see if they are worth buying or not.

Atrdeco Tribal Baked Eye Shadow:
ARTDECO Tribal Baked Eyeshadow adds a mesmerising metallic shimmer effect to the eyes.

This high performance baked eye shadow is infused with a blend of colours to create a marbled texture that delivers a multi-dimensional play of colour on your eyelids. Tribal Baked Eyeshadow is infused with pigments that have been intensified due to the special manufacturing process for longer wearing, highly pigmented colour.

Tribal Baked Eyeshadow is free from Fragrance and Mineral Oil and has a silky texture which facilitates a wet or dry application for an array of colour intensities.

Available in a selection of shades, Tribal Baked Eyeshadow is part of the Tribal Sunset Collection for Spring/Summer 2013.

Tip: Tribal Baked Eyeshadow is suitable for sensitive skin.

Shades Available:
18 Marbled Brown – A blend of gold, beige and brown hues perfect for creating sensational neutral looks.
23 Marbled Green – A mix of teal, mint and green shades for a vibrant eye look.
30 Marbled Blue – A deep midnight blue infused with white and grey hues for a classic blue eye.
37 Marbled Purple – A blend of lilac, pink and purple shades for a feminine look.

Product Prescription & Packaging:
Eye shadows you will see here are in tester packaging but they originally come in a compact with black pan and transparent lid. They come in four shades and are in a dome-shaped formation.

Swatches:
These swatches are taken over a BB Cream used as an eye shadow base, else they do not show up nicely.

Overall Experience:
Baked eye shadows are usually made up of finely ground minerals which are presses/baked to form a solid eye shadow resulting in no mess and a slightly different yet smooth application & texture. Baked eye shadows give more of a metallic finish rather than a shimmery finish which you usually get if the same mineral is in loose form. You can use these as it is or with a dampen brush.

If you remember my previous review on Mineral Eye Shadows by Artdeco, you would know that also don't give a good color payoff without an eye shadow base or a primer. Same is the case here, these just don't stick to the lid if used dried. If used with a damp brush, they go on nicely but you can still see a bit of skin underneath which I don't like.

These eye shadows have a silky texture and goes onto the skin smoothly but again, if you have something underneath so they can stick to it. Since my eyelids are oily, I prefer to use a tiny bit of eye primer every time I apply an eye shadow. These eye shadows stay on my lids for over 6-8 hours with an eye primer. If I am feeling lazy, I just dab my BB Cream over my lids and these shadows would stick just as they would stick over a primer but they start to crease in about an hour and starts to tone down in about three hours. Without an eye primer/base, you might not like them much though.

Note: An eye shadow is only a fail for me if it does not work on a primer/base. I have oily lids and no eye shadow will stay on me for longer hours without creasing.

Oh and not to forget, I did not notice any fall outs.

Overall, I really liked the texture and pigmentation of these eye shadows. I think this is a really good collection and people who love using baked eye shadows will love these.
