Overall Experience:
Palmat by Practk: This adorable brush cleaning mat looked really travel-friendly when I first got it but I have been using it ever since, at home as well, for many reasons. It is really compact, works great for cleaning all kinds of makeup brushes, dries quickly and sticks in my bowl-shaped sink so my hands are always free to deal with brushes. This gotta be one of my shortest reviews. =D

I am super happy to have this Palmat in my collection and ever since I got it, I haven't touched the brush cleaning glove that I was using before. I literally found nothing bad about this product but as for my personal preference, I do not like to wear it on my hand while watching brushes mainly because I do not like my nails to stay in the water for too long. But the straps are adjustable in three positions. My hands are not small and the middle position is big enough for me. Also, it is available in 3 gorgeous colors. [More close up photos are below]

Fun story: My 9-year-old boy tried washing a few brushes with Palmat and he loved the whole process so now I have someone to do the job for me. ;)

SigMagic Brushampoo Liquid by Sigma Beauty (brand's claims/description):
SigMagic® Brushampoo™ is a groundbreaking product created to take brush care to the next level. Using 100% natural virgin coconut and ethically sourced palm oil, this cleanser effectively dissolves product build-up, oil residue and harmful bacteria to enhance the functionality of brushes.

Combine SigMagic® Brushampoo™ with the Palmat® for the deepest clean possible. Sulfate and paraben free.

Overall Experience:
SigMagic Brushampoo by Sigma BeautyI received a 10 ml sample along with the Palmat but I had to write the review because I have never used such a magical brush cleaning solution before. This clear solution has a runny consistency and is made with natural ingredients. It gets rid of most stubborn products in seconds and even better, it rinses off instantly. I found it super helpful while washing my bigger brushes (for face).

You might have experienced that it takes ages to rinse off baby shampoo while washing makeup brushes which is what I have always used to be honest because those shampoos work well to clean brushes and are easily available. But SigMagic Liquid cleanses the makeup residue even faster and rinses off really quickly. I literally washed a bunch of face brushes in the same amount of time as if I was washing a single face brush with regular baby shampoo mainly because of the rinse-off feature.

I also want to talk about the scent, SigMagic Liquid has all natural ingredients and the scent of the liquid is almost like a medicated soap. It is a great thing if you are allergic to scents and is great for sensitive skin as well. Personally, I grew up with medicated soaps in my home, without scents and colors because my father who is also a dermatologist is super allergic to such things and I like the smell. Some people might need to get used to it though but in my personal recommendation, I would say go for unscented stuff if you have sensitive skin because brushes get on your skin at the end. It is also paraben and sulfate free. =D

Overall, I could not be more happy with both of these products. Quality and price points are great for both. They are a great addition to my collection and I am so going to purchase the full-sized SigMagic Brushampoo Liquid really soon.

  1. I boight a set from Sigma and it had a mini shampoo and mini brush cleaner. I took them with me on a trip and they worked great. I won't buy the full size cleanser though because of the fragrance.
