Velvet Creme Matte Liquid Lipsticks by Breena Beauty - Review & Lip Swatches

Today I have a Malaysian home brand, Breena Beauty for amazing cosmetics and I feel so excited to be able to try their VelvetCreme Matte Liquid Lipsticks. I have also swatched all twelve shades in this post, both on arms and lips. Enjoy!

Velvety matte finish obsession just gets better with Breena Beauty limited edition vault set. This set includes 12 full-size Velvetcreme Matte Liquid Lipsticks with the new & improved packaging. It is a stay-all-day, kiss-proof & comfortable on the lips.

Product Description & Packaging:
VelvetCreme lipsticks come in 12 beautiful shades and each tube contains 7 ml of product. They are available individually and also in a set of 12, called vault. Packaging is made up of high-quality plastic with a twist on cap, transparent bottom, and a doe foot applicator. They all have a matte finish with a vanilla scent to them. <3

Overall Experience:

Enjoyed the swatches? I have lip swatches a serious try this time because I know how much people appreciate to see the lipsticks on lips, rather than on the arms. I tried to have the shades as accurately as possible and the product was applied to the lips directly with the applicator. Let's move to the review now.

This set has the shade variety for every occasion and mood. Some of them have a very smooth formula but some go a little streaky. Smoothest are; Cocolatte, Frosting, Macaroon, Kindness, Catlady, Courage, BerryPie, and RockA'Bye while I found Teddy, PeachCake, LadyBoss and BubbleGum slightly patchy/streaky to work with.

The formula is highly pigmented for all but one. All shades go opaque in one swipe but I could see my pigmented lips through the shade, LadyBoss. This happens to me because I have darker lips so it might not be an issue for many of you. VelvetCreme does not bleed or feather, as all and I have tried wearing these without lip liners plus the velvety finish, makes my lip look fuller. =D

Lipstick dries on lips within seconds, leaving behind a velvety matte finish and the formula is lightweight that I forget I am wearing something on my lips. And I love how even being the matte lipstick, it does not suck the life and moisture out of my lips but prepping is important if you want a pretty result. Applicator also helps in achieving a nice application.

The lipstick will stay on for the entire day without budging but oily food removes the product and no, I am not complaining. Oh, and it is 100% water, kiss and transfer proof. =D I tried retouching the lipstick after eating an oily meal but the result was blotchy and flaky so in my opinion, it is best to either start over or wear a tint underneath. By tint, I remembered that none of these lipsticks stain the skin or lips so if you make a mistake during application, you can just use a q-tip to fix it.

Overall, all the claims made by Breena Beauty were tested by me and passed with golden stars. I am confident enough to recommend these babies to all of you, I am sure you will get your money's worth. It was my very first experience with a local Malaysian makeup brand and I must say that I am highly impressed.
