Makeup Geek Pressed Eyeshadows - Review & Swatches (Part IV)

My love for Makeup Geek's Eyeshadows grows with every new shade I add to my collection. Quality, price, and variety are three main points for me when it comes to makeup and I get that from Makeup Geek. Today I have more eyeshadow swatches from the brand which I recently bought in a b bundle.

Overall Experience:
As you can see in the title of this post, I have reviewed and swatched Makeup Geek Eyeshadows many times. The first couple of times I used these babies, they were sent to me for review purpose from Makeup Geek and then I just got hooked. I have repurchased many of the shades and have added some new shades to my collection. I am saying that I am honestly in love with MUG shadows but I would also like to mention that not all the shadows have worked for me equally. For my previous experiences, you might want to check following three posts I published containing twenty-seven (27) different shades.

The bunch you see in this post are the ones I got in MUG's Autumn Glow II bundle. It was for sale for a limited time but went away soon. I always try to get bundles because they save me money but all the shadows that come in bundles are also available to purchase separately from MUG's website.

The swatches you see above in this post are taken without eye primer underneath and they swatched really nicely but for this result of pigmentation, you will need an eye primer or a base when doing your eye makeup. I used to use Vanilla Bean as a neutral shade a lot because that was closer to my skin tone but I have been loving Peach Smoothie since I got it since this is an exact match to my skin tone.
All the shades I tried for this post have amazing pigmentation and there isn't much fall out for any of these unless I accidentally or carelessly pick the excess product on my brush. Still, I try and do my concealer after I am done blending darker shadows. This is pretty normal for darker shadows in my opinion.

Wear time is usual for me, 2-3 hours without creasing when worn without an eye primer and over 12 hours with an eye primer. This wear time is for me since I have really oily lids and the Malaysian weather is hot and humid throughout the year. I do, however, use MUG's shadows on an everyday basis without any eye primer but only with very soft looks so even if there is a crease, it is not noticeable.

Overall, I am in love with Makeup Geek's eyeshadows for their formula, price and color range. All the shades in this bundle will work great on every skin tone and should give you a vast range of makeup looks by having different finishes in the collection.

  1. Love your swatches. They are making me pull out all my MUG e/s (and I have quite a few) to remind myself how much I love them. I even have an empty palette waiting for me to get on the stick. I hope I have Pocket Change.

  2. I really like this "not-meh" neutrals that aren't all beige-ish variants. Morocco especially is up my alley. I only have MUG's duochromes and shimmers; these mattes are the next on my list.
