Long Lasting Eye Pencil by Essence Cosmetics - Review, Swatch & a Quick Look!

I love colored eye liners to add something special to the eyes without putting too much effort specially when I do not have spare time to do my eye makeup. In this post, you will read my experience with Long Lasting Eye Pencil by Essence Cosmetics along with a quick eye makeup look that is equally good for day & night time.

This Long-Lasting Eyeliner allows a precise application and lasts for hours and hours. The super smooth texture makes it easy to apply for fantastic effects!

Products Description & Packaging:

This eye pencil comes in a twist type packaging. The lid shuts with a click making it travel friendly and air tight so the product won't dry quickly. The formula of this pencil is pretty creamy and glides smoothly over the skin. It has very fine shimmer in it and contains 0.28 grams of products. The shade I got to try is called Hot Scorch and it comes in eight gorgeous shades but I believe that not all of them are shimmery.

Overall Experience:
This gorgeous copper-brown shade became my favorite when I swathed it for the first time. The formula is super easy to work with, the glitter/shimmer is not chunky at all and once it sets, it will stay put for longer hours even on my oily lids.

I love to use it as eyeliner over my lids but mostly I use it to create one of my quick eye makeup looks which you will see below. What I am trying to say is; you can use this pencil as an eyeliner, as an eyeshadow and also as an eyeshadow base while it is still sticky.

Staying power is great for this product. Without a primer [I have oily lids], it stays in place for 4-5 hours and then I can see some transfer where my lid touches the other part of the eye. But over a primer, the product won't smudge for over 6 hours. The formula is easy to blend with fingers in case you will be using it as an eyeshadow / eyeshadow base but I will suggest using a blending brush because finger just picks up most of the product while blending.

Overall, this is one of those products that I try, love and then get the whole shade range just like I did with MUA Cosmetics' Intense Kiss Lip Glosses.

I used;
- Long Lasting Eye Pencil in Hot Scorch by Essence Cosmetics
- Curl Addict Mascara by Luscious Cosmetics
- Kohl Addict by Color Studio Professional

To get the look;
- Apply Long Lasting Eye Pencil in Hot Scorch by Essence Cosmetics all over the eye lid and blend the edges with a blending brush just so you do not have any harsh line. My general rule is to cover the area until my crease so when I will open my eyes, I will only see the lid covered in this pencil.
- Tight-line with Kohl Addict by Color Studio Professional.
- Apply two coats of Curl Addict Mascara by Luscious Cosmetics and you are done. I don't feel the need to curl my lashes when I use this mascara.

This look is specially good for summers when you don't want too much on your eyes but you still want to look like you put some effort in getting ready. Just use a primer underneath the pencil so it can handle sweating much better. Oh and for brows I went au naturale =D
